I have never scrapped about my grandparents (all 4 of them) Each of them was unique in their own way.
My Grandpa McGuire is the one I remember least of all, because he died when I was young, but I remember him as always happy. My Grandma McGuire had a green thumb for houseplants, she could make anything grow. I did not take after her at all, I can kill a houseplant faster than you can buy it. LOL
Grandpa Shaw was a gardener, he always had a huge garden. I remember riding around the garden on his tractor, what a treat that was when he let us steer! Grandma Shaw was the food preserver, she always had something that she had made to send home with you. She always had us grandchildren helping her with the canning if we were around when it was time.
Sometimes it is sad to think that I have lost all my grandparents. But I do have the good memories about all of them. I think it is time I set down and put this on paper. I have a great picture of both sets of grandparents and my Mom and Dad from the 1950's.
