Happy Birthday Ford Mustang!

Today is the 45th "birthday" of the introduction of the Ford Mustang. I wore this shirt today to celebrate. I've had it since Christmas, but this is the first time I've worn it. Thanks to Weight
Watchers it fits! :)

My new Toy!

I bought a Cricut Expression a couple of weeks ago. I have been so busy I haven't had a chance to play with it. Hopefully this weekend I will get to use it. I also plan on getting some pictures from Hawaii posted.

We have a name!

After much searching online for girl doggy names, we have found one the whole family really likes.

Our new puppy will be named Molly. It just seems to fit her.

Can't wait to pick her up in 3 weeks.

Happy New Year!

Hope everyone is having a safe and happy New Year.

I don't have much to post today. I am just enjoying a nice peaceful day. Working on planning our upcoming trip to Maui. Now that it is under 3 weeks away, I am getting excited. I can't wait for the warm weather.

This is from our trip last January. These Tiki statues were at a Botanical Garden we went to. I think I enjoyed it much more than Mike. But great husband he his, he humored my taking tons of pictures of flowers. LOL

Mike got our suitcases down from the attic, so I plan on starting to figure out what to pack. I always take way too many clothes.

I ordered a digital waterproof camera for our trip, it came yesterday and I have been playing with it. Haven't tried it in water yet, but I really need to do that soon, would sure hate it if it was defective and leaked. I have time to return it and get a new one if I find out now it doesn't work.

I thought I would jot down some resolutions for the new year. Maybe putting it in writing here will help me to keep them.

1. Scrap - I haven't done anything remotely crafty in months.

2. Eat healthier - I have really slacked off this last year in my good eating habits, and it shows in my weight and overall health. I am planning on limiting my consumption of bad carbs, eg sugar and white flour, and increasing the good carbs.

Now that I am sitting here putting them in writing, these are the only 2 I can think that I really want to work on. I will try and post here my successes with these 2 resolutions.

Hawaii Pictures

We have been back from Hawaii for almost 3 weeks and I am just now getting to post some photos. We had a wonderful time on Maui.

My new header above is the beach that our hotel was on.

This was the sunset the first night we were there.
This is where you would find me every morning at about 7 a.m. On the lanai drinking my morning cup of coffee.
A rainbow I took from our room's lanai.
There is only 1 scrapbook store on Maui. I had to do a little bit of shopping. LOL
Here we are all dressed up for the Luau we went to. It was perfect. The picture below was the hula dancers with a gorgeous sunset as the backdrop.

This was taken our last night on Maui. We were dining just off the beach and watching the sunset. Our waiter was awesome, he took this photo. It turned out to be our favorite picture of the 2 of us for the whole trip.

New stove and freezer!

On Saturday I finally decided which stove I wanted. So we ordered it and a new upright freezer. I have been using the same stove since we bought our house 20 years ago, it was used then!

Here is a picture of my new stove that is going to be delivered on September 15. I can't wait!!!

Family Reunion

Over the weekend we went to a family reunion. This is the first time in probably over 20 years that Mike, his brother, and sister were together. I got a great picture of the 3 of them. Then we were able to get some good pictures of all our families. It was fun seeing everyone, just not long enough.

I ended up with a sunburn on my back that is killing me! But boy did Heather have fun lecturing me about wearing sunscreen. I think she has been waiting years to be able to do this! LOL I am always telling her to make sure and wear sunscreen.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the weekend.

I have over 200 pictures from the weekend. So I have plenty to scrapbook! LOL

Sewing and Clouds

I had forgotten how much I love to sew! I made a pair of pillows for my neighbors yesterday and I had a great time. Just a simple project, but it brought back my love of sewing. Now I want to make some more stuff! LOL

Below is a picture of the pillows I made for them. The have just bought a 5th wheel trailer, so I made them as a "trailer warming gift". Joyce is the queen of flamingoes, so when I saw this fabric I couldn't resist it. One side of the pillow is the flamingoes and the other side is striped. I think they turned out really cute.

The clouds were really pretty yesterday. Below is one of the better pictures I was able to get of them.

Finally Done!!!

We started restoring our 1967 Mustang last year. It is finally done! Today, June 3 is the 40th anniversary of the day it originally sold. We restored it back to the original color, Candy Apple Red. Our first car show and cruise with it will be Father's Day weekend.

Hawaii in January!

I just finished booking our trip to Maui in January 2008. I am so excited, neither one of us has ever been to Hawaii. This will be in celebration of our 25th Anniversary. We will be spending 7 nights at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel. Below is an arial view of the hotel. Here is a link to it if you want to see more.

Now that I have the trip all arranged, I need to work on my weight. My goal is to be able to wear a bikini and not be embarrassed! LOL So I have a little bit of work.
